sometimes when i start my car i get a cloud of blue smoke size of a softball does that have to do with the pcv oil consumption or is it something else i should worry about 35,000 mi (01 ws6)

Sounds like a small amount of oil leaks past the rings after it sits for a while... then burns out once you start it. Sounds like you got a little crap past your air filter at some point and scored the cylinder walls. If you're running the car without an oil filter- put one back in. Check your intake plumbing for any leaks where dirt/dust could come in.
Short of tearing the motor down and rehoning the cylinders you probably won't get rid of it... but the amount of smoke you describe shouldn't be a big deal.
