gear help please help me
ok im going to buy a gear and i just bought a yank ss3600 last weekend so now i need some help from you guys with the gear and cam. 98z with 2.73 right now.
i plan on going with a FMS Custom Grind Camshaft - 230"/232" .595"/.585" 114LSA - aggressive profile with a 2500-6800 RPM range. later this spring early summer and i was looking at 4.10s and yes my z28 is a A4. i only drive city and the highway i drive on to get to work is about 1/4 mile from were i get on to were i get off.
but with a 3600 yank and 4.10gear what should i be expecting as to dd? i have though about 3.73 and when i told my dad what i had planed for my car he said well my 69ss had a 5.13 in it and i drove it to work even though i worked 2miles away and it was fine so the 4.10 will be fine in yours.
my z is a dd and i do plan on takin it to the track this yr a coulpe times to get numbers on it, but the track is a 1hr away from were i live so would in the end the 4.10s and 3600 stall would problay be better if i went with the 3.73s for dd.
i have no idea how to judge the 3.73 to the 4.10 as of what power i will be making and where my rmps will be in overdrive. my car has 2.73s now
all i want out of my dd is 11.99 in the 1/4. and still be able to drive to school and work.
