Default 2001 T/A WS6 M6 500+ hp & upgrades!

Hey guys i need your advice on how to bring my stock Ls1 motor
to 500 hp!

keep in mind that..
I am in the process of buying a twin turbo setup from ASP F Body inter cooled twin turbo system

I bought the car last month, the car has a SLP loudmouth 3 inch mufflers, and a skip shift eliminator installed.

what shifter would you use?

what lid would you use?

What 9 inch transmission would you use?

What gears? 3.73 or 4.10 would you use?

what suspension would you use would you use?

what electric fuel pump would you use?

I will use the best advice from these forums to upgrade my car and i will post the photo's of the before and after work.

Thanks guys

If you want the big cam lump and a loss in drivability then call vengeance and get there vindicator and tfs heads. (If you don't want to spray and have a moderate budget and it'll give you right around 500 horses)

If you want twin turbos call speed inc and get their new twin turbo set-up. (Huge budget $10,000+ and will support whatever you'r stock cube motor will hold ~800-900rwhp on a built motor and 500+rwhp on a stock engine)

If you want a supercharger call EPP and get a D1 procharger and you'll have 500rwhp with some other add-ons.(moderate budget, more expensive than heads/cam but alot less then twin turbos)

Nitrous will need a pretty large shot unless you do a decent cam and small shot to get you 500rwhp.

The possibilities are endless and any sponser will help you get there. You need to do alot of research to find what you want and what your willing to live with...

Post Thanx guys

I don't want any nitro but I want twin turbo's eventually, Turbo Twins remind me of when i had a dodge stealth R/T TT.

As..of right now! I just want the heads, cam, short throw shifter & a tune ect..

I want to go @450+ rwhp MINIMUM, with a stock motor! but i will prolly get a 408 iron in the future.

I am on a 2500$ budget per month for upgrades,

and i want it all

The 9' rear end, a fuel pump, BMR suspension, gears 4.10? ,racing seats, ex ,ex
electric water pump

My car is a 2001 WS6 vert, M6, black/black with 30,000 miles stock except for a SLP muffler and a skip shift eliminator kit

Vengence what can you do for me?

If you're serious about this, your best bet would be talking to a sponsor near you.

do some more research...if you only have a lid...i'd continue on the newb route of exhaust, a 90/90 setup, cam...then move onto heads...then move onto the TT setup...

but yea...next time i'd research more before posting up...just some friendly advice...

What 9 inch transmission would you use?
QUOTE]

This thread can't be serious. Personally I would not use a 9 inch transmission because I think it would be too short, and really hard to cram all those transmission components into a 9 inch long case. I would go with a 9 inch rear end though, they seem to work pretty well. This guy also says that he is in the process of buying a twin turbo setup from ASP, but then just wants the H/C setup for 450 rwhp, why? Personally I would just stick with a TT setup if I was already buying it Why waste your money right now on a setup for your "stock motor" if you are definitely getting a "408 iron" soon. Seeing as you have $2500 a month to spend your 408 iron would only be a few months away. Therefore I would save for the 408 then put my already purchased ASP TT setup on the car and voila $12000-$15000 (or in your case 6 months) later you have well over 500 rwhp. Sorry to rant but it erks me when people start throwing things out there without doing a little research as to the correct things that they want as well as catching themselves up in lies when they mix up their stories. Also its etc. (et cetera) not ect.
