I've been using the GC since I've had my car which is about a year now. This most recent oil change I decided to throw some of that Lucas Oil Treatment stuff in it. I was kinda scared at first since it was like pouring tree sap into the crankcase, but the car has run fine with it, and hasn't seemed to have any adverse effect. So what does everybody think about these types of additives?

I feel that if your using a quality oil from the start (like GC), than there is absolutely no need for any additives. I know that GM, does not recommend or approve the use of any additives..I definately wont use any of these in my own personal vehicles.

I too use the Amsoil European formula, but I'm not sure I need something that thick. It may be time to do some oil analysis work again on my part...

What about the Q stuff and the higher price M1 like the extended performance. I wa told that that was there old formula.
Amsoil? I was changing the oil on a cruiser the other day and apparently the amsoil was gauranteed for 75,000 miles not 7,500.m I woudlnt run it that long but I would go to 7500 if its that good.
