Help: Rear Hatch won't open w/o....
Hello guys. i recently bought a car.
I was trying to open up my rear hatch. When i push the yellow button, It seems like it would pop but not fully open. You know what i mean?.
So i have to stand there and use the remote to open it. It's like , once i push the button, I have to open it right away, If not it will not open.
Is there anyway to fix that problem?. Also the hole to put the key in. It's messed up inside I can't even put the key in the hole. So does anyone know how to fix that problem also?. Thank you.

Mine does something similar but when i open it it opens half way, but still is caught on the latch..I always have to go back there open it as far as it will go then go press the button again...its annoying..I think it sticks to the molding when it gets hot...IDK

No its just "pops" open but what he's talkin about is that when he "pops" his its still latched..mine does the same thing...there's a split second when the latch lets go of the hatch....well if your hatch is stickin then that split second isn't enough and you have to do it again....thats what happens to me

Question: After doing that writeup, will the hatch open all the way, or just an inch so it doesn't stay latched? Mine unlocks fine, but still looks closed and I would like it to make a big enough gap for my fingers to pull up the hatch. I don't like to touch the paint, usually I pull up on the middle taillight

hell I usually just save my self the hassle and hit the button twice to make sure it pops all the way
