Default Help: Rear Hatch won't open w/o....

Hello guys. i recently bought a car.

I was trying to open up my rear hatch. When i push the yellow button, It seems like it would pop but not fully open. You know what i mean?.

So i have to stand there and use the remote to open it. It's like , once i push the button, I have to open it right away, If not it will not open.

Is there anyway to fix that problem?. Also the hole to put the key in. It's messed up inside I can't even put the key in the hole. So does anyone know how to fix that problem also?. Thank you.

No its just "pops" open but what he's talkin about is that when he "pops" his its still latched..mine does the same thing...there's a split second when the latch lets go of the hatch....well if your hatch is stickin then that split second isn't enough and you have to do it again....thats what happens to me

Question: After doing that writeup, will the hatch open all the way, or just an inch so it doesn't stay latched? Mine unlocks fine, but still looks closed and I would like it to make a big enough gap for my fingers to pull up the hatch. I don't like to touch the paint, usually I pull up on the middle taillight

Yes, that will fix it. It will cost about $2 and take about 2 minutes. Done!

Actually that's how it's designed to work. Thats' why it says 2x on the remote. It's annoying and I "fixed" mine but technically it's working how it is designed to.

Mine works maybe once every ten tries. I bought the exact spring they mentioned, and it worked for a few days, then went back to its old ways. Since the springs I bought came in a package of two, I tried the other one with the same results.
