I hate to do this
but I have to ask an exhaust question. I've decided to go with a Dynomax Bullet exhaust. They offer it in a 2.5" and 3" diameter. What size is the pipe coming off the y (I am keeping the stock y-pipe)? I was thinking of going with 2.5" Bullet mufflers since I don't plan on making huge power right now that would require 3" pipe. But I'm open to your guys' advice.
Also, since I plan on just running it from the y-pipe back, do I need one or two of these mufflers? From my understanding, I'd only need two if I was running true duals - which I'm not at this point.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. So basically I'd have two 3" pipes running from the muffler outlet to the tips?
The reason I posted this question is that I put 3" pipe on my Ram Hemi and I lost low end big time. I only gained it back when I reduced the size of the pipe going from the muffler to the tips.
Again, not to sound like a moron or anything, but all I've ever owned are trucks - and there is plenty of room to route things on them. With this car, space is limited. If I'm going with a Bullet muffler, is it placed in the middle of the car - as opposed to the stock location near the trunk?

Maybe I'm crazy, this is what I decided to do - I ordered the Dynomax Bullet muffler, 3" in/out, 16 1/2" long (the shorter the louder), and I wanted it dumped (I hate cleaning the chrome tips all the time).
Do you dump the single pipe before or after the rear axle? I'm sure its going to be pretty loud, so I'll change it up if it is unbearable.

Well, got the Dynomax Bullet installed today - sounds AWESOME. I know realize why there are so many threads on here talking about clearance of the pipes lol. I dumped it under the car, but its still only a couple inches off the ground lol.
There is no rasp too it, very deep and loud throughout all rpm's. There is drone, but I can live with it. I'd definitely recommend this muffler.

I used to have a Dynomax super turbo on my 85 camaro with a 383 stroker in it and I wasn't too impressed......a little quiet for my likings but I don't know which of their models are quiet and which ones are louder. Maybe I just got a quiet one.
