Question Drag tires

I was trying to decide what kind of tires to get for my 99 camaro ss a4. would 275-40-17 drag tires grip good with a 3500 stall on the street? should I change size tires?

I suppose you have a 17" rim then.. I think if you get any other size, it might just look a little funny.. Get that size in a MT ET Street DR. I just put a pair on and it hooks alot better then my nitto's did.

Bad thing is, the MT's dont last as long on the street due to the softness of the tire. But, traction is killer on dry pavement, wet pavement forget about it so be careful..

I agree on the ET Streets. The hook like crazy but wont last long if driven on the street much.

good grip will depend on what kind of power you are making. If you are upwards of 500 then you will have a problem with MT's. If you are below 450 then they should work just find. Don't break your rearend.
