the wiring or mesh or netting w/e u like to call it is it recommended to remove that. my friend was tryin to tell my i needed to take it out it would help gain a lil. he did it to his car but not so sure bout it

You can de-screen it if you want, it's up to you. You won't notice any gains, maybe 1hp...

it dose flow a little better if you are out to get every single horse out of your motor. it dosnt hurt anything at all EXCEPT the slim posibility of somthing getting by your airfilter then there would be no screen to keep it from damaging your sensor and getting in to the motor. if you keep a clean filter i dont see this as ever being much of a concern just a possibility.

The screen is used to straighten the air flow across the sensor wires. Some cars will idle rougher with the screen removed. I didn't notice a difference on mine.

could make u run lean/rich depending on the state of the sensor, just leave it on. that way when u smoke another car u can say, "i smoked u, and i still have the screen on my MAF sensor"
