I've broken in order:
-5th gear sychro(warranty)
-Bent 2 valves & 4 pushrods through bad technique (warranty)
-replaced stock clutch because it was slipping
-broke second clutch on WOT 3-4 shift('01 LS6)
-broke posi at the track doing a dry-hop
-broke Richmond 3.73 ring gear after getting car back from 'friend'. He missed a shift & dragged/ wheel hopped the rear tires.
-broke the engine.Rod bolt failure while zinging the rev-limiter in 2nd.
-worn 3rd gear blocker/sychro.Trans freshend by T56 rebuilds.
-spun a rod bearing on replacement engine.
So my weak link has been my engine..At least that has wrought the most spectacular failures.
My original 10 bolt is still alive in another 500 RWHP 98 z28..I replaced the Richmonds with Motives & an SLP take-out Torsen/LPW girdle before I sold it.It lives because it's an A4.
I have a Strange 12 bolt now.
In summary,Nearly everything in my car broke because of something I did wrong.
It's not the cars fault.

That takes ***** to admit that. A lot of guys would NEVER admit that the car breaking was from something they did.

well if we all drove sensable...nothing would every break! But I have broken the ring and pinion 2 times and send the spider gears through the rear cover once..lol....my tranny synchrodes are shot, spec 2 is great, and my motor has been through abosolute HELL and is still strong as it can be with 103k on it....and it has been drag raced and road raced since it was broke in! I've had 4 LT1 cars and im never buying another since i got the LS1.....great motor. As far as 10 bolts go....i wouldnt have one on a go cart!

This I don't necessarily agree with. I've had stuff just break on me. Of course the percentage of things that break on their own vs me breaking them is probably on the order of 1 to 10. Nothing is ever bulletproof, just incredibly tough.

10 bolt rear
Shitty window motors
Shitty headlights (TA)
Weak tranny after you put a stall in
Cracked door panels
Taking a bath while your driving (T top leaks)
Vats and "security" light on

Thats about all I can think of right now

Of course the rear. But other than that chassis(sub frame connectors) and the 3-4 shift fork. Things that make night and day in a f-body.

Jumping in a little late, but here's my complaints about my 2001 T/A's week links:

- door pannels crack on both passendger and driver's door
- headlight motors sometimes don't work, or people strip gears
- window motors are the ***** if you play with them by going up and down several times in a row (why you'd do this, IDK.. but the g/f managed to kill my passenger one before leaving the dealership )
- week 10 bolts of corse (its the same rear as in an S-10 incase you're wondering what makes them so week)
- leaky T-roof seals
- leaky door window seals at the top of the windshield where it meets the roof
- Cats. Iether loose them completely or get 3" hi-flows. (mine has seen 3 sets before I got it. 135,007km on the clock)
- squeaks, rattles and creeks. Eventually you'll get them (or already have 'em) here, there and anywhere.

And for people who live in colder regions:

- shitty rear defrost....oh sorry rear "de-fogger" relay (once you start using it, the time it stays on will deminish each time. Mine up and died after it started getting down to around 7 minutes. And of corse you can't just buy a relay... oh no.. you have to buy the whole damn HVac from the dealership. I'm looking at 217 bucks canadian!)

Don't get me wrong, I love my car, but its not without its quirks and minnor flaws.
Its too damn bad that GM discountinued the Fbody series before offering a uber high-end package that adressed ALL these issues... maybe they never figured that they'd be so popular?

window motors and regulators.
rear end - dealership refused to cover it under my warranty because they said my 315's caused it to break.
squeaks and rattles.
Torque arm.
6-way adjustable seats...mine only adjust 4 ways right now.
stock speakers.
2 - serpentine belts (why couldn't GM have figured out how to run the accessories off 1 belt)

without reading any other posts.
1. Rearend
2. clutch
3. Tranny

All the other stuff is just peripherals. No need to get worked up over em. Although a bubbling sail panel would **** me off.

This should've been a poll.
The consensus appears to be the stock 10 bolt.
No suprise there..Now,those of you who get on the the "stock 10 bolt sucks" bandwagon,How many of you actually have broken one? How many of you actually were concerned enough to upgrade to something else?
It's my guess that more 10 bolts DONT break than do..& if they do break,it's usually an agressivly driven 6 speed car...Automatics seem to be much easier on rear ends.
Otherwise,IMO,This thread has pretty much run it's course.
