You aren't going to hold back 03 cobras, supercharged 01's and whatever else you beat with a 106 mph trap speed from a roll, unless they are shifting at 4000 rpm. Sorry.

ive held the cars and i have that on film so you tell me.. thats why im saying i was wondering.. even holding a cammed trans am isnt supposed to happen. i raced my buddies lt1 which is cammed, heads headers cutout and went 12.6 on bottle, we stayed dead even.

you aint gonna beat a 03 cobra, stock or slightly modded with a 13.6 at the track. some of them cars see 12.6-12.9 with intake/exhaust setups. im not saying you didnt beat them on the street or whatever, cuz ive beat some pretty odd cars on the street like that too, but a real terminator, no way. driver mods. idk if u know the guy in the 03 car, but if not, the 99-01 cars are very similar, and im not saying you are ignorant or the svt cars either, b/c i dont know you! dyno run will help you. expect right around 300hp to the wheels.

no im not that stupid.. ive been around cars for a while but im just worried that if i take it to the dyno and get it tuned, while the car has a nice tune on it, i dont wanna lose power or anything like that.

and dyno #s mean nothing

you can dyno 300 and still hit a 12.5 or dyno 350 and still hit a 12.5

its all about the combination, suspension, tires

106 for a catback car is about right for an M6.. sounds like a good running car..

..but factory freak is a thing of the distant past guys, that's back when cam lobes could vary 4-6 degrees from the factory, and compression varied by a 1/2 point from high end to low end, some got set up loose, some tight.. get lucky on those and you had a freak, get unlucky, you had a dog... with the tolerances of a genIII-IV engine, you won't see more than a 5-10 hp difference between the freaks and dogs.

My Dad bought his 87 T-type brand new and that thing would beat GN's all day. The engine ran better than average but he paid for it with a a Late day friday built tranny.

That sounds VERY average, and with the Cobra's........ They really aren't quite as fast as alot of people claim them to be, NOT saying they are slow by any means, but a decent F body will take on a cobra and win....

EDIT!!!!: unless the driver of either completely suck *****. Happens alot around here.

There is no such thing as a factory freak IMO. There are exceptional drivers
and there are shitty drivers. It just so happens that the exceptional drivers
always end up with the factory freaks for some reason.

13.6 @ 106-107mph is extremely average...as the guys have previously stated.

Same LC2 engine.. t-types were typically even a little lighter, esp the WE4's. I totally hear where you're coming from with the late friday stuff! I do wonder if some may have come with wastegate set a psi or 2 higher.. though with an adjustable, a gutted cat, slicks, and a chip, you could run 12's all day long! I kinda miss driving my GN now.. I should get it back out of storage and back up to par!

Yeah my dad Would tell me the GN guys would complain and say his T was lighter. He still has it with 40,XXX miles on it but it needs paint bad. Interior is perfect. Tranny still leaks.... It really needs to be gone over and tuned up. Still fun to drive though. At very least it needs a BOV. I cant stand the noise of the throttle closin and that air jammin back into the turbo.

I can't even count how many times i have heard the, well I can drive on the street, but not at the track. Thats a load of crap. I buddy of mine who has a mustang says that **** and it drives me nuts. IMO, driving is freakin driving. Me? I can't drive the Firehawk I just bout to save my life. I ran a 8.6 in the 1/8 at 84.5 mph w/ a 2.0 60ft. It puts down 320 to the wheels. I think thats an 13.6 or so in the 1/4. The guy that had it before me ran a 12.9 on DR's.
