Buying a ls1 in one day, opinions needed I'm going to buy a Trans am WS.6 on friday. Actualy, my dad is going to pick it up for me becuase I have school. ITs a 2000, 6 speed, 42K and it has one dent in the quater panel. Otherwise it has never been painted and is in mint condition. It does'nt have tcs or the hurst shifter. I got it for 16,900. Is that a good deal? btw, its NBM and heres a pic.

Re: Buying a ls1 in one day, opinions needed Congrats. You don't need TCS or the Hurst shifter anyway. I always had my TCS off (don't even have ABS now 
) and a new shifter install can be your fisrt mod (the stock shifter is weak).

Re: Buying a ls1 in one day, opinions needed It has no tcs so, is it going to be hard to control? I have only driven 2 ws.6s and 1 Hawk but, the tcs was on. I'm so worried I will spin out. I better lay off the right pedal if I want to keep this car mint. The dent is gone and now the car is absolutly mint 
I want to mod the car but, I need to pay my dad back for the car. My plans are for me to sneak on a MTI lid, green filter, hurst shifter. And then I would be set. 
I want to order the chrome hurst but, I dont know how long it is. Also, would a stock hurst **** look good on the chrome shifter? What ever, I'm going to enjoy the car bone stock for now

IMO they are annoying as hell and I don't even use it in the rain or the snow anymore. You just need to learn to ease up in the wet weather and you won't have to worry about spinning out at all.
