headers= beer - now you are really feeling a buzz maybe even getting drunk with modding a little. You can buy expensive beer guinness/kooks or cheap beer Pabst blue ribbon/pacesetters its up to you to choose your poison.

intake/throttle body= marijuana - Time to spend more money and congrats now your buzz is illegal, just like when you deleted EGR and AIR and threw away your cats. Uh-oh youve reached the gateway mod...

tune = Ecstasy -you can spend money and get the good **** /good tune or you can skimp out and take your chances on some tune/E that was cooked up in a basement in Mexico

stall/clutch/gears = LSD - you'll be really happy after you do this one, the road will become a blur. unless again you cheap out and then youll be sick when your tranny or rear explodes faster then your heart

heads/cam = mushrooms - youll see and hear new things with your new lopey idle and power

Turbo/supercharger = Cocaine - you gotta be making some cash to afford this drug/mod, but you are really gonna have some fun and be hooked once you try it. youll be up all night working on your car too...

Nitrous = Crack - Cheap, addictive, fun to use and best of all dangerous and addictive. You might end up like bobby and Whitney...

drag radials = detox - this is the most logical mod/drug you ever did! what good is 1000hp or even 5hp unless you can get it to the ground!

I was just passing through and thought this was a great post.

and lol @ dudes knowing off hand crack is more expensive than coke.

haha I have no idea how much crack costs, but i think its kinda funny that you do...

how bout i wikipedia it?
"Crack is unique because unlike other forms of cocaine, which tend to be extremely expensive, it comes in small and low-priced packages."In the United States, crack cocaine is often sold in small, inexpensive dosage units frequently known as a “blast“ (equivalent to one hit or a dollar's worth), “nickels”, “nickel rocks”, or “bumps“ (referring to the price of $5.00), and also “dimes”, “dime rocks”, or “boulders“ and sometimes as “twenties”, “dubs“, “doves“, “solids", “slabs“ and “forties.”

haha i think you smoked too many "nickel rocks" and have your costs all messed up.. way to try and **** up my joke numb-nuts

lol very funny

I'd say just include suspension w/ drag radials/tires/slicks and you've got a winner.

somthing simple like changing out shocks could be a key first mod to some. Cause damn these stockers are/were/always just not good.

Just spoke w/ the local LS1 specialist speed shop today at lunch (Simple Quick Racing, Fort Worth TX) and they have me drooling over adding a cam and a set of coated Pacesetter LT's to the SS.

But I failed to ask them...what do you w/ the rest of the exhaust after installing LT's? Do you leave the factory cats and rest of the system?
Or do you go w/ a custom true dual setup?

I would think the 2 into 1 into 2 would be a real bottleneck to big headers.
Please enlighten me, LS1 wizards...

Well im glad all of ya'll felt a difference from the LT's, because I sure as hell didn't. I might have only picked up 10hp at the most. My car isn't noticeably faster at all. I dont even like my car anymore. I just wasted a lot of money...

I think the only issues with SLP LTs is the clearance, which hurts lowered cars.Power gains are on par.

To TLUZLS1:Tuning makes all the difference on a headers install.Headers are one piece of the full exhaust system. So small gains will be had from just headers. But a H/C/FI/Nitrous or any combo of those with reap the rewards.Im not mad cause my car only picked up 12rwhp from a lid/catback and no tune(Guesstimation).Thats what I paid for.

Well I put one the pacesetters and tsp y-pipe and im also tuned. I only put down 332/351 SAE (326/338 baseline) with all the mods in my sig. Im losing/beating cars the same as before the LT's and tune.
