Which oil do you use?? *POLL*
#26
I find it odd how the WORST choice of the Mobil line is winning the pole. I thought with as many oil threads that are floating around, people would know the 5w30 is sub-par.
I run Mobil 1 5w40 in both my WS6 and 5.3 Z-71. When I couldn't get that during the re-labeling of the 5w40, I used the 0w40 with good results. I'm also waiting for some more UOAs of the Pennzoil Platinum.

I use any old 10w30 stuff.
Car running fine 130k, and 46k was by me with any old oil from Walmart. Well I actually get it from a local parts place, who said that its the same stuff just in a different bottle. Anyway no problems yet, however as many people seem to be using mobil 1 on here I may give it a go after the heads/cam swap this weekend.

It worries me that the most used oil on the poll is Mobil 1 5W-30. That's a lot of people suffering from increased wear, louder than necessary piston slap/valvetrain tick and a lot of oil consumption
I'll use GC 0W-30 as long as I can get it. I got enough in the garage for the next 2 years (24 quarts just chillin' all bought on sale at $4.49/qt. ).
