I think he meant he has an 02 z28. Dont buy another intake, you already have an LS6.

And to answer the original question, no, a 99 c5 doesnt have an ls6 intake.

Now where can i get a tr224 cam And should i wait to get headers.. im thinking about a electric water pump and a new crank pulley.. any thoughts to that? what kind of tuning will need to be done for this cam? i would love to squeez the most horse out of this without doing too much. in example im thinking maybe getting the heads done..

You are going to have the most gains from the CAM (singular).. I see that you are new to here... Look on the right -------> and you will see the sponsors.. I recommend SpeedInc.com, Texas-speed, Thunder Racing, or another company that you see fit.. They are all good.. Honestly I don't know how much the shorty headers are going to help you.. What I would do is get some long tubes and just throw on after you get it smogged... You say that you have 5 cars so taking a couple of days to switch the long tubes out for the manifolds won't be such a big deal... With some good headers and that cam I would think that would up you around 60rwhp with a good tune... Don't forget springs though because you're going to float a valve and then bang a piston and then we won't be discussing more power.. We'll be discussing changing a piston.. haha.. These are just my thoughts if you want real power and I know people that do swap the headers out.. think about it, how often do you really have to get it smogged?? Do it right man..

Yes you do have an LS6 intake... 01-02 F-body's have the LS6 intake and a smaller cam so it works out as the same horsepower...

That's OK, I was just wondering if it were true or not. If it is than that just saves me that much more money.

I was wanting to do a cam swap in the near future and I didn't want to go "***** deep" without all of the supporting mods. Thanx

unless you know someone who will "smog" it for you . . . don't put in lt's at all. shorties will give you nothing worth your time. my reccomendation? call a local speed shop and have them make a custom cam and get a tune. there's a shop here in norcal can make a custom cam with a tune, ported oil pump new LS6 timing chain and larger injectors that will get an A4 around 400 to the rear wheels . . . with your standard exhaust manifolds and cats!!!

^ it'd be REALLY hard to get an A4 car to 400rwhp with only cam and bolt ons WHILE still staying smog legal in Ca. Most can't even do that with longtubes, no cats, AND an m6! Not saying it's impossible, but I have no idea how it'd work
