I know its such a newb question, but I cannot seem to find a good solid answer. So do all 98+ LS1, TA's and Z28/SS's come with cruise control? I am now in my search for my dream LS1 and was curious since I really would like it for my 300 trips I make so often. Even pictures from the dash would be great because I dont see where it could be. Thanks

 

I have a 1999 TA, and I got cruise control on it. never used it...

 

My 00 TA has it.

 

No, it's an option. My car doesn't have it. It sucks. It's located on the left end of the turn signal. You wouldn't think it would be an option, but i guess having a trunk release is also an option, as my car doesnt have that either. It doesn't have 1 single option. lol

As the posts suggest, most have it but some do not. BTW, Traction Control is the same way.

 

That's Weird since my Formula is a `98 base package with only one option (R7X Theft Deterent System with Remote Keyless Entry). A base Formula will have everything a Trans Am has except T-tops, Leather and the security system with Keyless entry. I know cause I ordered it that way.

 

Mine has the keyless entry, power everything, and t-tops. It's a clothe interior though. Guess I got a mutant or maybe someone wanted to save a little money when they ordered it.

That's just strange cause Cruise Control was part of the base package.
Base Formula's Sticker price was $22,865 and my Security System was a $240 option.
Just another one of those weird anomoly's from GM.

 

I have it--and everything else, also--[I ordered mine] only occasionally do I use it..a couple times on long trips when my r.foot gets tired.

 

Mine has everything except T-Tops on a 2002 Z28.

 

So it seems to be hit or miss with it. Anyone have a picture of what the switch looks like from inside the car? Thanks

 

Heh. I ordered my "stripper" Z28 without it. It should be on the end of the turn-signal stalk...

My 2002 Z28 doesn't have it. Or power anything, alarm, trunk release, fog lights, leather, traction control. So these are all options, on Z28's at least. I've heard that the rear defroster is an option too.


Cruise control is on the blinker stalk, on the end.

it was an option on z28s and formulas

 

My SS doesn't have it. Someone did add a power antenna to mine though. Maybe a dealer. That's the only option I have except the SS option.
