I've heard a lot of people from up north say it like that. WOW, 14 hours? I thought it was like a couple of hours or so.

My car is kinda weird about it, if you floor it going 30 or less, the RPMS will go way up (lower gear) But if your going 30 or higher and floor it it just gradually accelerates. Is it because when i'm going 30 or less the highest gear it's in is 3rd and when i floor it it goes down to second?

When you floor it just over 30 it is going into 2nd, when you floor it just under 30 it is downshifting to first.

and to the OP, hahaha ya'll from over der in louisianny? Ya sure dun talk funny ya little feller. I aint never heard nothin like "catch a second" or "scratch a second", well I recon thats the funniest damn way i have ever dun heard it said.

haha Seriously though. Usually here we call it chirping second, and if you do it real good, we call it barking second. I have 275's with good tread and I can spin/chirp/bark 2nd all I want, just depends on how I'm drivin, how fast I shift, etc. Its the #1 reason I like having an M6 now.

With my 2.73's as long as I'm under 40 it'll down shift all the way to first and then bark real hard on the shift to second. If I'm accelerating from a stop or a slow roll then when it shifts to second I only get a little chirp on most occasions.

It's completely stock, except, the guy I bought it from, he put SLP exhaust and lid on it, also, it's an automatic. The only thing I might have changed is using different oil and different gas than him. Could it be quicker now compared to when it used to catch a second?
I wouldnt worry about it, but if you really want to burn second then it's time for an M6
