i was there for the last street legal even in my m6 camaro , i havent had it to long but its all stock and i ran a 13.4 with a 2.2 60 ft. ( 4.10 and traction sucked) but i did trap a 106.9 mph so i figure with some traction i could run a 12. next time out look for me in a blue camaro ss with silver stripes or the truck in my sig( shooting for 10's in it)

On top of practicing your launches, i would take off my mass air sensor and spray the sensors with carb cleaner + maybe a seafoam job wouldnt hurt. A dirty mass air sensor was the diff between a 14.5 and a 13.6 for me.

Yes it will catch; the higher the pedal goes the more it will catch. The way I slip it my leg movement is maybe 1/2 as fast as dropping the clutch. I tried to launch at 4k and got a lot of wheel hop...not good lol. Just go on a back road and practice a few times, you'll get it don't worry.

just like everyone has been saying you just need to practice. next time you get to the dragstrip just worry about yourself, who cares what car is in the other lane or who the driver is. if it makes you feel any better i've ran as poor as 14.8@114 with the mods i have now on stock tires. you'll easily break into the 13s with a decent 60' i'd guess mid 13s.

i would rev to about 3000rpm-3500rpm give about 60% throttle slowly let off the clutch, when u think your in the clear for some traction....... slam the throttle to the floor

14.5@102?

That's a good trap at that speed.

If you get your 60' down. (stock should be in the 1.8-2.2 range depending on driver ability)

i have a stock lt1 and run 14.0 on street tires, you can do way better than 14.5, and your not ganna break your 10 bolt on those tires either, you will spin before it breaks

I never had that problem, even with four 1/4 runs back to back in 100*+ day, with stock clutch, no drill mod and no heat reduction stuff on the line going from the master to the salve. But yes it sounds like you should do the drill mod.

First time at the track I ran 14's on my cammed and stalled LS1.
Now days I run 12.3's with the same setup and a messed up transmission.
It all takes practice man.

With an M6 it definitely takes alot of seat time at the track to get down your launch. Which is the most important part of the entire race.

dumping the clutch will either make you spin or bog. you need to slip the clutch quickly to get it out of the hole fast. i ran a 12.97 @ 110 with just a lid and catback with street tires in my 98'
