Loud belt sound in engine bay

if it goes away after about 10 min then change the belts

My '02 was doing this. It would make the noise for about 5-10 mins, then it'd be fine.

Turns out it was the A/C belt. But I changed them both just for good measure.

mine did the same thing. i had my idler pully and tensioner pulley changed, after they were changed it stoped chirping

I think that the belt is original. The nose is a chirping noise and also just over all loud. I am going to try and lube it up tomorrow and see if that subdues the noise and go from there

Spray the belts with belt dressing while the motor is idling. If the noise goes away a belt is glazed and needs to be replaced to quiet it down. If it continues then use a stethoscope or put your ear on the handle of a long screwdriver and the other end on the alternator, water pump, PS pump, ETC. until you find out where the noise is coming from.

did you change your belts at the same time
