Default quick question.....

there is a head/cam package from Trickflow that claims 515hp. What kind of preperations would i need to make to a stock A4 tranny and rear end to be able to handle that sort of power? Thanks guys!

First of all don't expect anywhere near 515rwhp. Secondly, your stock rear will be fine as long you have stockish tires. With the new power you will just have to learn to feather it some.

And your stock rear end should be ok with an A4. It's the M6's that have more trouble breaking rear ends due to the stress.

**** can the 4L60E and get a TH350, then you won't have to worry about the trans. As for the rearend, I cut 1.5xs with my stock 10 bolt in my old Z28. Yes the auto cars are a little easier on them

I bet that HP rating is flywheel, NOT rwhp. If so 515hp with a 15% drivetrain loss is about 437rwhp.

A4 (4L60) is a crap-box. Bolt on cars fry them, imagine heads/cam will do. You'll need your tranny built up so it can handle it.

Your stock 10-bolt with an auto is 100x better at handling power rather than a manual car. An auto car will have a preload on the drivetrain rather than the violent snap of popping a clutch on a manual car.

Peace,
Craig.

If you have all that power why would you use stock tires? All the power in the world is useless unless you can put it to the ground. You will need DRs to drive that on the street. Just plan on getting a 12 bolt or 9" if you want lots of power.

Before all that it is recommended that you do bolt ons first.

Lid, LS6 intake, headers, catback exhaust, and stall.
