Default What oil grade?

Hey guys its been a little while since my last oil change, and i think i put 10W-30 in it then, but i just bought 5w-30 today since thats what the manual says. Its all Mobil 1, so im just wondering which would be better before i change it tomorrow. Sorry for the noob question, just dont wanna put something too thin in it?

I put 10w-30 in my 98 z28, a buddy of mine uses 5w-30 in his 02 z28. Neither one of us has had problems with our cars. You should be fine with either one.

5 or 10W-30 is fine, hopefully we'll never see below 0 temps.

I run and always run, straight 30. 0w - 30 is the best for the LS1. Go to your valvoline and they can order it. Some auto zones carry it. You can also order a crate straight from germany of it at ws6store.com. Love it and never looked back

I doubt your car will know the difference. 5W30 has a little better cold flow when you start, but in Florida it won't make much difference.
