I have had a loudmouth on several cars that I have owned, I think it has a great sound. However, If you run catless you will not like it at all.....way too loud.

the LM1 was the first mod i got for my TA. i still have it. and just remember you might want to consider replacing if you continue to mod, if you go with longtube headers and then heads&cam it will be EXTREMELY loud if you keep the loudmouth. after i got the H/C 402 installed it was earsplitting on the dyno everybody had head phones on. so yes the loudmouth will make a huge difference going from stock exhaust but the more you mod the more unbearable it will be.

Yeah^, my loudmouth 1 was loud before. But now with the headers and ory everyone was laughing as it was dyno'ed. Sounded like an open headered dragster. I don't mind the noise, but in town I may get a ticket especially with the 3600rpm converter requiring some throttle to get going.

It actually drones LESS (almost not at all) cruising now with the headers. I probably will go with a bullet muffler in place of the shotgun resonater after I've had my extremely loud fun for a while. Idling it sounds good, full throttle sounds decent, certain rpms part throttle sounds like ****. Pretty much like open headers.

If it doesn't rain, I'm running it at the track tommorrow. I'll try to get some video and post it. But rest assured, no matter how good your computer speakers are, they will NOT be able to replicate what this thing sounds like. lol

troopercar, you kinda pointed out something else too, and that's that you'd better be on your best behavior with that LM1 driving through town because if you nail the throttle you WILL be heard by pretty much everyone in the general area and that includes the guys driving crown vics with red and blue lights on top.

the cool thing about LM is that it's modular... you can switch out the LM1 shotgun for the LM2 bullet or for a variety of other bullet style mufflers. Search for borlamouth, magnamouth, dynomouth and you will see the flexibility in the system.

LM isn't the best sounding system, but it's cheap as hell and will definitely wake your car up. As for whoever said it won't yield much in performance, LM has been dyno'ed to be within 1-2 rwhp of a cutout, so its pretty much as free flowing as your gonna get from a catback

I bought the LM2 modular cat back and then bought the LM1 resonator. So if I put it on and don't like the LM1, I can just change it out for the LM2. If I like neither of them then there's always the Borla XR-1 and Magnaflow makes a bullet muffler that will fit right where the LM goes.

I had both on my car. Switched over to the LM2 muffler when I put headers on.
We have them both in stock!!!

Blagh Blagh Blagh.
Loudmouth 1 with headers sounds like complete ****!!
I even have the TSP Catted Ypipe, and it still sounded shitty.
Just go Tru duals from Texas speed and performance, for like 450, yeah its like 80 bux more that the LM1 but at least you'll be happy with it, and not end up switching out the resonater or cutting the whole thing off like i DID
