Default Vehicle Info

I am looking for a web site that will give me my car info besides CarFax. CarFax was fine, but it didn't tell me the info that I am looking for i.e. what gear, what shifter, etc. I am looking for a web site that has more detailed info.
Also, how/where is the production number of the car. I seen people list that # on their sigs.
TIA......

All 6-speeds came from the factory with 3.42 gear ratio.

Only two shifters were factory, the upgraded one being the Hurst. If you have the hurst, your shifter **** will be embossed with a big "H" on top of it.

I doubt you will find production/build numbers on your Trans Am unless it is a WS6 or Firehawk. All you will likely find is the total amount of pewter 6-speed Trans Ams that were built. The '01 numbers might not be released yet.

Uhh, just goto the dealer and have them printout a spec sheet on your car. It tells you everything from the build date, all the option codes, weight, everything.
I got mine from a friend's dad who is a mechanic for GM, but I am sure you can pick one up for a few bucks.
