99 and up gauges read a "range" vs actual temp. Mine reads just like yours with a 160 and low speed fans set to come on around 175. It will climb past 210 if you start overheating.

210 don't worry about it. The gauge is a dummy it won't move unless an overheat condition is present.

yep what he said
180 stat made no change at all with the dash gauge. data screen on a scan tool tells the truth.
btw that was with the fan temps changed on the tune

At idle its usually at around 170 to 175. After a few hard runs it may jump to 190. Verified all this with a Tech II at work.

I want to get a 160 stat for mine. A friend of mine put a 160 stat in his, and his actual dash gauge only goes up to the first notch now, not 210 anymore????

the temp gauge is just a dummy guauge, it will pretty much read 210 all the time untill it starts to over heat.

Everyones Gauge Will Read Alittle Under 210 It Doesnt Matter What Thermostat You Have That Just Lets The Water Cirulate When The Water Gets That Hot But You Can Get A Tune And Get Your Fans To Come On Earlier

stock stat, fans come on a little earlier, stays around 175, sometimes 185. 98 year, so I have the accurate gauge.
