Free Mods?

Been outta the game awhile . Looking at picking up a 6spd Ls1 in the next few mths and I was wondering what free mods are good and what are there gains. Thx guys.

Bieng that you previously owned an LT1 you should know they are the TB Bypass, MAF screen removal and Ram Air. The gains are MINIMAL at best.

Man the guys just asking for some help here. Monmouth, Search here is your best friend. The TB bypass, descreen your MAF are what most people do. I count port and polishing your TB as one also do the bump stop mod. There's a great write up on here on how to do it. All you really need is a dremel and some sand paper. This will give you the best gains of any of the "Free mods". All you really need is a dremel or file and a volt meter for the bump stop mod. Should also be in the write up. Good luck with your new car! And let the modding begin!!

I've read in places people can adverage 10 rwhp with these mods not counting the pp tb. I've done most of these especially the free ram air cause it need to be done anyways if you get a ram air kit (or make one).

The Skip shift mod is a waste of time... no performance gains and unless you struggle with basic concepts it shouldn't even be a problem. I don't have an EGR system (01+ = no egr) so I can't say if that makes any difference...and I have yet to do the Coolant bypass mod but I know it helped on my LT1 car.
