88' Red GTA here back in 1998. Loved and hated that car. Motor seized the second day I owned it. Had non stop problems with it on a daily basis. Then I blew another new/reman motor like 1 years 4 thousand miles later. Surpised that car didn't make me a rice lover because of how big of a POS it was, but I just loved the way it looked. Then I had my fair share of Opticrap LT1 cars that should of made me throw in the towel on Fbods. Finally Now I have an LS1 car and laugh about the L98/LT1 BS I went through. Wish I still had the GTA w/an LS1/T56 combo though.

Bought a '85 Camaro Berlinetta with the 305 4 barrel when I was 16. Got a flowmaster exhaust, american racing wheels, and a nice paint job for it. I miss the 3rd gen body style for sure.

I drove my 76 firebird all through Highschool, had the pontiac 400, took it to the track and ran a 15.3, eventually blew the motor with nitrous, but that gave me a reason to put the 428 in there....

I had been looking at f-bodys on autotrader since i was in the 7th grade but back then i wanted a c5 vette for my first car after i while i realized that was not happening so i figured out f-bodys had ls1's in them 98 and up. found one very clean on craigslist for 4900 bucks with 115k on it when i was 16 going into jr year of high school. 32 mpg hwy at 75 mph with 2.73 gears it was a great deal. i had a job, no bills, modded the hell out of it then got rammed by an asian woman running a red light. it broke my heart after investing over ten grand into it.
i did not know what to do so i bought it from insurance fixed it myself real nice and now it rides nothing like it did before, just very harsh bad shocks is the case but it had brand new kybs on it right before the wreck and it rode awesome!

my first car was a 96 Z28. Bought it when I was 24. Then had to sell it after 1 year because it was really difficult to get insurance for it due to my age.
After driving a European car for almost 5 years, bought a 2001 Z28 last month.
Nothing feels great like driving a camaro again!

Got a Medium Quasar Blue 1994 Firebird when I was 16. Got it for 2500$, ran PERFECT. Drove it for 2 years until some douche in a riced out Celica hit me at a stop light ruined my rear end and everything from doors back and put me in the ER

Since the title of the thread says first "Car", then, yes. My first car, which still sits in my shop, is a 1979 Firebird Formula. I bought it in 1999 with 13k miles and it now has just over 16k on the clock.
Technically, the only cars I've ever owned (aside from a couple parts cars that were never titled in my name) have been three different Firebird Formulas. I have a second 79 Formula (its under construction) and the 99 you see in my signature.
And for good measure, the first "vehicle" I purchased was a 1976 2WD Chevrolet Luv Pickup. It was a piece of crap, but it was fun beating the Hell out of it for the summer I owned it. Since then, my daily driver has always been a pickup.

I did! It was a primered '78 Type LT with a built '70 spec 350, TH350, and BFG white letters wrapped around Corvette Rallye wheels. I was only 15 and didn't even have my license yet and use to drive the **** out of it. I sold that car in 1996 and bought my dream car a 1979 Formula. Those were good times.
