Yes sir.... I started working at 15 and since the car was in my fathers name I got a pretty good deal on insurance.. But I had to pay for both...

If you can put the vehicle in someones name whom is older then 26 that will help your monthly payments significantlly...

always wanted one when I was growing up, but couldnt afford it. I did however have an x-body with a 454 that kept up with the ls1's pretty regular.

Ya, Im going under my dad's insurance so that helps, but I still wish I could use the money to put into the car.

It would have been nice! First car was a '00 grand cherokee laredo 4x4 when I was 16, 2nd was a '02 S10 Xtreme from the time I was 17 til I was 19, and now i'm about to turn 21 and have had the Z for almost 2 years. Best decision i've ever made

I bought a 1994 v6 firebird when I was 16 (first car), I bought a 94 formula, when I was 17 (spring), and bought my 1998 SS Camaro at 17 in the fall.

Yep, first car was a 1995 Pontiac Firebird, bright red. 3.4L V6, it was more of a looker than a racer but the baby sure did shine. I've been hooked ever since and have upgraded to a current 1999 Pontiac Trans Am.

i bought a 02 v6 when i was 15 from all the money i was saving.
i paid for gas and insurance
at 17 i sold it and bought a 02 Z28 SLP clone, i still pay for gas but my father now pays for the insurance since he lost a huge bet with me
now im 18 and loving my head turning Z

My first car was a an eleven year old 1976 Camaro with a 350 Quadra-jet and Turbo 350 Transmission. It was orange with a vinyl top. It would do 120+ MPH and at about a 110 MPH the windows would get pulled away from the body and all the air would rush in.

Sweet thread, pretty cool reading through this. This SS is basically my first real car, I'm 18. I used to drive a high mileage Black Z71 Suburban that was really clean. Still have it but don't really use it anymore. I was basically borrowing it for the duration I drove it though, was a hand-me down from my Mom, I didn't pay a penny for that truck other than the **** I had done to it (did an LQ9 swap as the stock 5.3 had a cracked cylinder head, darker window tint as well).
