I looked into fast toys ram air kit and ended up just getting a lid. When I get a TC I am going to add a tranny cooler, so I did not think the ram air kit would work with the cooler.

Have you concidered mounting it dope style? I have a 30,000 gvw cooler from perma cool that I'll be mounting in a few weeks. You can have ram air and a trans cooler.

Look at the SSRA kit also austin ram air kit. I have it along with a tranny cooler no problems just had to move the cooler in a diffrent spot.

Is the FTRA still effective without a lid? I am thinking of getting the FTRA but I do not have a lid and I have heard that is literally amounts to nothing without a lid

if you have ram air go with the Jaam kit but if you dont go with the standard one and they have been proven to work.

well it is probably the best, the only thing that concerns me is it covers up alot of the radiator which makes me wonder about cooling ineffeciences

I have the SSRA from Austion performance and love it. You do have to relocate the tranny cooler. Well worth it!!!

how much of an improvement is a cold air intake over and above the free ram-air mod? like 1-2 HP or more?
