Magnaflow sounds good at WOT, but it still is pretty quiet. I got bored with that muffler pretty fast.

Your car will not be loud as long as its going through the stock cats, and manifolds no matter what you put after the y.
haha, thats what i did, got impatient, and wanted to go ahead and get the catback off just to have one less hassle this weekend when putting the LT's/TD's in.

update, today installed a magnaflow catback and felt minor difference in performance, but the sound improved quite a lot. My next mod is Y pipe. I dont think about putting on gears because i will be driving the "break in period miles" for like half a year. Since i drive it on weekends only, but drive it well . If i will do that with new 4.10's they will simply break

When I bought mine, the only exhaust mod it had was a cut out. Since the muffler wasn't doing anything, I hacked it off and saved 30lbs. It's still relatively quiet, but still sounds good all for the low low price of $FREE.00

Honestly, if you plan on getting a catback anyway, hack the stock one off where it enters the muffler. If you like the sound, no money invested. If you don't, you can just add a catback.

Here's a clip of mine with the muffler hacked

.....the laugh......god damnit..

Can't wait 'til the longtubes find their way underneath the hood this weekend

Thanks for the replies guys. I didn't want to bring this thread back up but I have a quick question before I go an order some stuff.

Some people say get a Y-pipe along with the catback. Since I am not doing headers yet and run my cats, is that a waste of money for the time being? Should I just do the catback?

Well the stock ypipe sucks, I would say replace it. Anything helps right?

Thanks. I have some extra cash to spend so I might as well go for it. Any recommendations with what kind to get? Something on ws6store.com would be ideal since I am buying everything off of there.

Nevermind. From looking online, it seems the SLP one would be good for stock manifolds and cats. Thanks again guys.
