What to do (or what would YOU do)
So I justold my gt convertible and picked up a 01 auto ws6 and the only thing done to it is a magnaflow muffler and subframe connectors. Well I have about $1500 I am wanting to spend on it and I have no idea where to start. Im thinking full 3in with LT's offroad Y (roughly 800) and I was looking at a NOS FI kit for 100-125 shot for $600. Good place to start or no? Im not looking for crazy fast but I want some fun and I cant see the $600 for the nitrous being spent on something else for the same amount of fun. All help and opinions are appreciated-Tim

Long tubes with a offroad y or true duals
Gear swap
undrive pulley
160 stat
good tune
drag radials; if you drag race
Ported/Polished TB
Harris speed works has a basic single nozzle dry kit for $289
Just to give you an idea of things to look at.

I would do a gear swap and full exhaust. Or full exhaust and a higher rpm torque converter with tranny cooler. Aslo FYI you already have the better ls6 manifold that came stock on F-body cars from 01-02 rather than the 98-00 ls1 manifold.

all 01-02 fbodies got the ls6 intake....no need to upgrade now.
headers are a good choice, and getting the car to breath better includes a lid which is cheap. you should be able to pick up coated headers for about $500, and another $150 for the orp.
gears and converter are huge improvements on the autos. especially if you have the small 2.73 rear gears.
you already have subframes which is nice.
n2o is a good way to have fun and maintain driveability in these high gas times.
i say do some small stuff now...get used to the car...then look into the n2o in a few months.
you may realize some other issues you need to resolve first....wheel hop, traction, etc.
remember all the n2o in the world won't help if you can't keep the tires planted.

you have the ls6 intake all 01-02 did.
go with a 3600 Vig stall, longtubes, ory, tranny cooler, and a tune and you will right on.
As for the nitrous- I would stay away from it for the time being as to set it up properly with all the safety devises and such you are still looking at 1000 at a minimum + install.

For it's cheapness and ease of installation.. I'd get a new lid and maybe a FTRA along with your current list of mods to be purchased.. And you could port and polish your own TB... Then your intake situation would be pretty well taken care of until you decide to get a cam, etc..
