BULLS@@T! SLP LM1 flows better than Magnaflow or Hooker. Also it sounds the best w/out full exhaust. Magnaflow sounds like crap on an LS1!

You seem pretty sure about that. Have you had all those different combos?

lol it may flow well, but whts the point of haveing it if ur gnna end up getting full exhaust? and magnaflow does not sound like **** on an ls1, it sounds way more refined than a loudmouth, without all the rasp and popping a loudmouth would make

I went with the edelbrock cat-back. Haven't heard much about this system, but the price was right and the clips i have heard online it sounds pretty good. I was rather surprised when i opened the box and it comes with very nice polished tailpipes. I'll let you know in another month how it sounds in person.

I have had SLP CB's on several cars I have owned and The sound is great (loud) and when you get a full exhaust just put a muffler on it.

for bullshit california smog reasons, i took my mac midlength headers and mac catted y pipe off and put my stock manifolds and y pipe back on. for consolation, i also got rid of my magnaflow catback and put in the tsp rumbler catback.

to me, it sounds much better all around. only thing is that it is LOUD when you're at part throttle under load (like driving up hills or leaving stop lights). i usually almost idle off the line when piggies are near.

compared to other catbacks, the magnaflow was great, but a little too quiet and never sounded as good as my current setup at any speed or throttle position (especially wot).

tsp rumbler didn't come with decent tips, so i just picked up a pair of these from ws6store.com. mine came with the slp logo, though...

Do you have a link to the different horsepower numbers showing those big gains over Flowmaster?

My vote goes to hacking the stock muffler off and letting the cats take care of the noise.

Price? A few bucks for sawzall blades

Kept me grinnin' until I could swing enough to buy a full exhaust

If you are looking to spend near 900 I'd go with GMMG or if you want to keep it cheaper...TSP Rumbler or Hooker.

This is a vid of my tsp catback I bought it off craigs list for 100 dollers I was very happy with the sound. I will say that if you are looking for more power I would get headers aswell because I didnt notice much of a power gain untill I bought my lid then I kinda felt a little more power. But the sound I like A lot I want it to be even louder.
