Default Does the manual fan switch mod make fans not kick on automatically when needed?

Thinking about doing this:

I was wondering if doing this makes operation of the fans strictly operated by the switch, or will it still kick the fans on automatically when needed regardless of whether or not the switch is on "Off"?

Not to be cocky but this is directly from the link "This modification will allow you to operate both low speed cooling fans at any time with just the flip of a switch. The normal operation of the cooling fans will not be effected. "

The SLP switch will not throw any codes; however is more expensive than simpy doing it yourself. The Manual switch, im told, can supposedly, throw a code but is obviously the cheaper route. I have had one in for a year now and have never seen the light. Oh and the manual switch will not affect normal fan operation either.
