Default Gas mileage on a 02WS6?

Im looking for something with better mileage, and thinking of getting an 01, or 02 WS6. Im just wondering what kind of fuel mileage these cars pull off. Thanks J

if your looking for great gas mileage then your lookin in the wrong place lol but for what they are, they do get good mileage/hp. but it really depends on if its a M6 or A4. M6 cars are capable of getting 30 mpg on the highway, I get 24 mixed with mostly around town. depends on how you drive. A4 guys get a good bit less on the highway.

edit: I have gotten sub 16 mpg one time.

^^^ totally agree with the 406 malibu, ls1's do not get good gas mileage... You have to be driving very carefully to get good gas mileage in the city.... I drive approximately 200 miles on my M6 in the combined city and highway before i have to fill up... But off course i do gun it from time to time... I knew what i was settling for... thats why i have another car to drive daily

Like everyone else has said...it all depends on how you drive. 25+ is easily done on the highway with an M6 as long as you keep stock rear gears. Even on higher hp cars with mild cams and heads at 450rwhp its still pretty good.

There are those who say they dont get good mileage. For a V8 with 320+ hp from the factory it pretty damn good.

On a 600 mile trip to Florida I got on average of 27mpg with my A4. Of course I drove pretty gingerly, keeping the RPM's below 2000

you cant really compare a 300+ hp v8 to a 100 hp honda motor in terms of mileage. these cars are amazing for what they offer in terms of power and mileage.

Thanks guy's that's what I was wanting to hear. I would be happy with 25 highway @80MPH. I drive from Co to ca, and Vegas alot. I plan on building one of those cars in the future, after I get my daily driven Z71 into the 9's I want to swap the engine, and trans into an F body. Was thinking I could get the car now and use it as a driver until Im ready to change it over. Will those cars haul any kind of weight in the rear? Like a bare block, or a set of heads? How much room is in the cargo area? Sorry for all the dumb questions. Thanks J

Im at half a tank right now.. 168 miles. Lets just say that I get at least 120-130 miles on the next half...that aint bad at all

I have an A4 3.23 WS6, 114,xxx miles. I average anywhere from 21 to 26mpg, depending on how I drive.

You can put some weight in the rear but there's no way it will fit an engine block. You could throw a set of heads back there no problem though.

I have a 00 WS6 A4 with a lid and a SLP LM.....I filled up today @ $4.09 for 93 octane, put in 9.05 gallons and I went 188.2 miles.....so I got 20.7 MPG. 75% HWY and 25% city driving.

On average you are going to pay a few thousand more for a WS6. I paid 14K for my 00 WS6 last fall, it had 46K on it when I bought it.
