Default Gallons to fill up?

I know this should be irrelevant, but I'm looking into buying a Camaro Z28 or SS and wondering how many gallons it takes to fill up when your approaching Empty.

Added: How many miles per tank are you getting?

I stopped looking at how many gallons I was putting in, I just count on spending over $60 to fill up. Damn you oil companies...damn you!

As soon as my car got into the red part of e, i pulled in a filled up 14 gallons. I hear that after the red part of e, you have 2 gallons left. so I think somewhere in the 16's is how much it holds total

Even with gas prices at around $4.20 for premium, +/- $50 usually fills my tank up.

You've got one hell of a big tank. The most i've ever put in is 14 and that was with the gas gauge on.

I put about 13-13.5 in and it only cost me $55 or so.

In 1999, camaros got 16.8 gal tanks as opposed to the 15.5 in 1998 and prior

Info found here: http://consumerguideauto.howstuffwor...t-camaro-6.htm

You mean "GAGE right? Or at least on the Trans Am it's GAGE, maybe they had enough room on the Camaro cluster

the tank is a 15.5 gallon metal tank for 98-99s and 16.9 plastic tank for the rest i believe. Red line should mean 2-3 gallons.

Nope, the 15.5 tank was in the 98 and older and the 99 and newer have 16.8, not 16.9. Like aothepresident said.

The "check gage" light is actually spelled "gage" and not "gauge".

I see. I never noticed that. Actually, I'm not even sure the 98's have that light because I've never seen mine come on.
