Default just a random ?

i was just wondering if ls1 383's can spin to around 8000+ rpms?
and if one were to convert over to a 383 do they have to resleeve the cylinders?

you can spin them high but it cost money to do that (c6r racing team cough)

why do you want so many revs?

you stroke the engine to get the size you want and then bigger pistons, i cant remember what combo it is to get 383 but alot of people run 408's

and to be spinning an engine at 8grand like that for long periods of times you need to have top quality parts in your engine, that valvetrain needs to be light or else you'll start floating valves, i had a thead aboug 3 year's ago where i was asking the same question, but for a SBC gen 1, i'll look it up

yes it means a diff crank w/ a longer stroke, and 383= ls1 w/ 4in stroke no sleeving required.
