SLP Y-pipe?
I got one from a member on here that was slightly used. I got ti cheap enough that I was ok with the purchase knowing its not the best upgrade ever. I dont play on doing LT or H/C to this car, maybe ever.
Anyways, my question is: Is it supposed to hang down REALLY REALLY low? I cant get a picture up atm but it seems awfully low. People who dont know cars say "you got a pipe hanging" I really dont like the way it looks at all.
Thanks,
Casey

hey bud i have a 3" ORY with LT's i have my car lowered 2" with eibach springs with bilstein shocks and i think it went lower than the 2" inches it said but i do hit, not alot but it hits more then anyone would like. just watch where you are pulling out from and what your driving over cause its going to hit it if it is any size(keep in mind i have my car lowered about 2" i think it might be lower cause i hit my tranny over bottles that are in the road or speed bumps).
what i did was have an exhaust shop take some 3" pipe and cut it down the middle length wise(i used 3 pieces about 6 to 7 inches long each) and slap them on the Y pipe and it will hold itself while you weld it on, reason being is it acts like a skid plate for the pipe if i hit or rub something while your moving down the road.

SPOHN sells a brace that will give it room so it wont hit, has a bend in it. this is one of my next purchases cause i dont like having the brace off the car just personal preference.

the way its looking is that more than likely it will hit stock or lowered or on certian obstacles that you may need to drive over this is cause the added size of the pipe if you looked at your stock it was flat(more of a oval than round).
id imagine the only way of getting around it is to either go with a smaller size or custom make your exhaust that way you can tuck it as tight(without hitting of course) to the bottom of the car as you want. JMO.
