Red face need more boost

I have a 2002 chevy 6.0L and I installed a vortech supercharger and I want 2 to 4 more pounds of boost out of it but I don't know what I have to do to the engine for it to handle that much more boost, can any one help?

im not sure what people recommend to run the max boost at on those engine. Im assuming your right around what you should be at on stock internals. I would post in the truck section and see whats others say. But if you are around the max for a stock motor, your only bet in order to run more boost would be to forge the internals

For Boost related questions go the Forced Induction section. 8 psi on a bone stock motor some have pushed it to 10#'s with great tunes and meth injection. For any amount of boost I suggest better than stock valve springs. The extra pressure has been know to cause valve float at higher RPMs. If you want to run over 10 lbs I would get forged low comp pistions, rods, and ARP rod bolts(weekest part). Do some reading in the FI section and don't be afraid to ask any questions. Those guys have alot of knowlege to share, they've all helped me alot.
