Engine Identifciation
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...a/P1010044.jpg
I do not know where any of the engine codes are located since this is my first project of this kind. There is not a # cast into the heads but there is a "0113" cast into the block just in front of the passenger side head. Can someone please help me identify this motor?
No pics of the top but here is what started my search...It's on the drivers side front of the block.

An advantage to the vortec 6000 series engine over the LSx family is the ability to overbore for NA build-ups. It is a plentiful engine and much more inexpensive than the LS1/LS2. It's not a bad thing, but it is certainly not a LSx.
Good luck with the project.
Thanks for the help!
it's alot stronger. You have 366 cubes, get a cam and a nice set of heads. You'll see some nice numbers out of it. I would see this as an advantage!
