Exclamation Ls1 Rebuild

I have a 98 T/A that has 124000 miles on it, it was honestly grandma driven up to 100000 miles, I am wondering if an engine rebuild would be smart. I have already replaced tranny, cat converters, and water pump. If I dont rebuild, I am looking at all new exhaust, headers down, and or a new hood...
Any Thoughts?

Why rebuild something if it doesn't need it? Do a compression and leakdown test. Does it have good oil pressure (over 20psi at idle, more as rpm climbs)?

If it does not smoke or leak, why rebuild.

yeah, i would wait to rebuild until it needs it. Im at just over 130,000 and they are not "easy" miles either. Run the hell out of it and worry about the rebuild later.

Why fix what isn't broken. Its up to you though if you want to have money set aside "just in case" something blows.

Default My mileage

I just blew up my car. It had 170K on it and it was no easy miles by any means. It is a B4C Camaro Z28 and the cops in SC had it until 145K miles., and i have not been easy on it since i had it. but like i said she let me down but hey its coming back strong as hell now. so my suggestion is dont rebuild it unless you have to

Save the money for when it does blow, and depending on how bad it is...buy a 408 or 402. Then the real fun will begin.
