i had a flowmaster sounded good but my tuner was telling me how much it was killing me so i took it off and ran my open y and gained over 20hp...then i bought some bullets and i put them on,then took them off cuz i loved the open y sound with the cam

i dont understand how a flowmaster muffler can take away horsepower, i just got a flowmaster and if anything feels faster. and sounds amazing.

yeah but is your car stock??? when you start adding power(cams,heads,intake manifold,headers,etc) you start losing power...yeah, when i had my flow it felt faster when my car was stock, but i didnt have any other power adders...

very happy with my magnaflow!! i remember when i just had an slp lid only and slapped my magnaflow on, it really woke my car up. yeah it was pretty quiet, but it really woke my car up..felt alot more torquey. it sounds even more better with longtubes and a cam now..

Get Borla.. I run a the xr-1 race muffler.. and its not loud at all... I hate overly loud exhaust

i had an atr exhaust on my 94 sounded pretty mean. i had a buddy that had a gmmg exhaust with kooks headers and by for was the best sounding z i have heard in awhile.

Well this thread was pretty useful for me because I was going to ask the same thing. I'm on a tight budget and I'm probably going to put a magnaflow in my camaro now with all this info...
