I recommend for the money a manual cut out and either a magnaflow or hooker catback

I have a hooker catback and I am very happy with the sound and performance... I have also heard that magnaflow sounds good, but have never heard one firsthand. I used to have a tirdmaster, but got tired of the hissing sound it makes under WOT (indicating restriction)... The hooker has no hissing sound at all and sounds amazing IMO.

LM2. Its light weight easy to install and sounds great with heads/headers/cam. sounds good on a stock also.

Plus you dont need a cutout then

Depends on budget and what sound you want. Check out LS1sounds.com to listen to a variety of different cat backs with all kinds of combinations ie: cam, headers, stock, etc.

Magnaflow. Hooker flows a little bit better but the magnaflow sounds really good. Its quiet when cruising around but gets really loud at WOT.
Also itll make your car sound like an old chevelle or nova, has that deep musclecar rumble to it. My dad heard it for the first time and said he hadnt heard a car idle or sound like that in 30 years, of course the cam helps too.

I'd go magnaflow personally.....it's very tame at first, however the older it gets the louder it becomes If you plan on going with some LT's & cam down the road, cam+headers+magnaflow= NASTY
