MOTHER ******! Now I'm pissed. So I pull out my intake mani today to start to clean it. Well the ******* back tube (map sensor/coolant plug, w/e) is ******* broke. But not just the tube. That whole part where it is mounted too. nice little chunk of the mani chillin next to it in the garage. Now I'm like 99% sure it wasn't the senders fault, because he wants pics of it, and also made sure it was insured on shipping. Lets see what happens.

I bought it 360 shipped off of here. I am not going to jump to conclusions, blah blah, blaming the sender. I am trying to settle this **** with UPS, and see what happens. Hopefully I can get money back from this, then I'll be looking again for a ls6, this time much stricter on the terms of agreement. But yea.....that **** ruined my weekend lol.

I am 99% sure it was, because first time I opened it, I heard ratteling as I pulled all the bubble wrap and **** off of the intake. And after seeing the UPS truck as it just made a delivery here....I'm sure they broke it lol. The back of the truck was FUCKED up.
About Silicone...wont that impede airflow, and cause disturbances, being it not even, and since I can't get anything in there to sand it down?

Thank you for the confidence
I just need my money back somehow...perferibly by the people that fucked up, (at this point in time...UPS). I am a college student working full time...I don't have a lot of money, so taking a lose like this hurts. And talk about depressed...I was so happy for it to come in, and get this **** rolling.

Just keep asking to talk to the manager, then ask the manager who his manager is. No **** my dad is a retired UPS guy, and he used to tell me stories how he would forget to put the gate down in the back of the truck and boxes would roll out into the interstate. Have you seen Ace Ventura Pet Detective? The first few minutes of the movie is how UPS treats boxes

Try to get the UPS inspector to agree it was concealed shipping damage (I assume there was no crushing/damage to the outer carton).
I suspect UPS will claim poor packing (hopefully you still have the original carton and internal packing material).
Shipping damage is the biggest concern I have when buying from the boards.
Most guys pack really well and insure for the full sales amount. However, occasionally someone just throws teh part in a box and sends it on its way.
Bought a cam once -- icame in a propely sized carton with exactly one red shop rag wrapped around it for dunnage. Got here unbunged -- gave positive feedback anyway; damn idiot refused to reciprocate with feedback to me.
Anyway -- good luck with your claim!

No, my mom wouldn't drop the box 3 feet from the outside of the door to the next to the door inside for me to move it. And I know I didn't drop it either. It was packed well, I still have the box and packing material and everything. I believe that the box was a little beat up, but I wouldn't think that bad... I'll check when I get home.

Just kick the ******* box when you get home!!! You think they are gonna check if it was your foot or not? I use to work for UPS. I'll give you a number if you have any other troubles. Hate to see another board member get screwed like that.
