On my car if I put the lights thing into the middle position only my fog lamps turn on, where as turning it to the far right or third position puts my headlights up.

As they have already said, it needs to be in the middle position. However, if you have it in the middle position and your lights come up, then you need to replace the gears in your headlight motors.

thanks guys i thought so too but like the last post said i put it in the middle and they still come up. i know the gears are bad bc they make that awful sound when put them down. i did look at the brass gears for it last night i didn't think that would fix what they are doing but i am defiantly doing the 180 quick fix on the gears till i get brass ones and ill let y'all know it that keeps them down in the parking light spot on the switch. i will also be putting my long tubes and ory on this weekend and yank ss3600 look for times soon. ran 13.4 with k&n and and ported stock 78mm tb first track day.
i know but its my thread ha

mine were doing the same thing you were describing, i put brass gears in and viola! The 180 quick fix should do the trick also but if it doesn't work, at least the brass gears aren't that expensive.
