remove the two hoses going in and out of the TB and put a new piece of 5/16'' hose from any auto parts store, in it's place, bypassing the TB.

I bought a stupid little kit off of ebay for the TB Bypass but as stated above you can find all the pieces @ a normal automotive store.

You really think it makes much of a difference, if any? it's not to heat up the air coming into the intake.

According to GMHTP, that's one of the free mods that had the best gain.

personally, me or my friend did it on both our cars and didn't notice a thing. it's one of those things that you just might as well do.

I did this mod and it DOES in make a small, but noticeable difference. If the engine is hot, and it sits off for 10 minutes, it will heat soak though the plastic intake and heat up the TB.

If you drive for a few minutes, the incoming air will cool the TB to the point where you WILL feel the cooler air working for you.

The part you want IS available at an auto pats store. Edelman part# 712460 plus 2 hose clamps will get you going for a total of about $2.00.

Yes, it does make taking the TB off easier. I knew that I was getting a ported TB so I did the bypass in preparation for that. I don't know that I noticed any difference though.

Its all in your head.. I have tried it on several of my cars before and after dynos and none gained any power. At best you may get 1 or 2 something you not going to feel on a 300+ HP car.
