Safety is going to be up to the track, I don't may the rules. The AHRA has rules on what they consider a car to be safe for the speed it runs. I really don't think they are going to let go of much, and really I don't want to line up against someone in the other lane who's car isn't safe. Not saying your car isn't safe, just saying helmets, roll bars, & driveshaft loops have a place at certain speeds. Most I've seen them look for on a street car is to see the battery is secure, now if your speed really starts to get up there and your times get down they are going to tell you to get a roll bar. A helmet and driveshaft loop is just a smart thing.

Steve, you got a video clip of that exhaust yet? If i can get this T/A knocked out tomorrow I'll come by and hear it personally. I have a noob helping me though so it'll prolly be an all day affair to do LT's, ORY, and motor mounts . Hopefully not, but I'm sure it will be.

The ultimate drag race:
Friday, March 05, 2010
Print WASHINGTON — The Navy says two warships raced each other for fun out on the Pacific Ocean, but it could not prove that the activity endangered the vessels.
A Navy inspector general report says four witnesses described the race off of Okinawa between the guided missile cruiser USS Cowpens and destroyer USS John S. McCain. But the witnesses differed on how close the two came to each other before the race was halted.
The report was part of a larger probe into allegations against the Cowpens commander, Capt. Holly Graf.
The racing incident took place in February of 2009 and the inspector general's report was finished in December. A Navy official speaking on condition of anonymity says Graf was relieved of her command in January for cruelty and maltreatment and for conduct unbecoming an officer.

Dont know on that one. We had a good one last weekend.
My ride: PepBoys Baja 90cc 4 wheeler. CVT trans, decent mud grips. Comfortable 4 wheeler for an adult.
Johnny's ride: Chinaman 4 wheeler that was once a 110cc/CVT, that has been converted to a 196cc and single speed drive. Chassis is about the size of a traditional 50cc kids 4 wheeler and adults look plain stupid riding it. However this thing has a "highway" gear and could likely do 40 mph if you have the *****.
Race was about 3 houses long on the blacktop.
Here's how it went: Lined em up from a dig, counted down and I got the jump on Johnny, I was one wheeler length ahead as I rounded the top of the gear. Trans went into second/high gear and I lost some pull and then I see this midget bike come flying past me, He had a solid 4-5 lengths on me and pulling. As I got to the top of high gear I had almost stopped his pull then I hit rev limiter. I rode the rev limiter for the length of one house trying to catch up. I saw sparks under the opponents bike and I began to catch him. He then coasted across the finish line with a few lengths to spare. I couldn't capitalize on his failure, he broke a chain but won.
In good sportsmanship, I towed him back to the garage.
