Wayne, for your application I would suggest the CAT Power flexplate. Its got a legit SFI rating and the price cannot be beat by any other manufacturer. Its about twice as thick as the stocker. Best price in town:

Here's mine installed when I did my motor swap:

Well when mine goes I'll be using my dads 2 post and a fork lift. No heavy lifting involved, just sweat and air tools

I don't know them personally, but there about three or four shops here in town that could align it.

Hell it ain't that hard to do it here ourselves.

When I cut the "window" for mine, I only cut three sides and folded the metal flap up. I then folded it back down and put peel and seal roofing material over the seams.

The jackess that had my car before me tried to make a window and hacked it up pretty bad. Then they found out the hard lines run over to the drivers side so guess what is dumbass done. I now have a hacked up window and a cut that runs all the way over to the drivers side. When i pull the tank im going to try to weld it all back together. YAY for more work.

The tank is different on 98s than on 01s. The "window" has to be cut in different places.
I've never been scared to cut up any of my cars. IF I owned a 10K PERFECT SS; I'd probably care a little.

Yeah we went by a 99+up cut picture and it turned out to be slightly off. The 98s are a pain in the *** with 2 seperate connectors on the rear side of the tank, which is why Chris' cut got so big. No big deal, I'm an X welder, I can patch that **** back together like a jigsaw puzzle.

Well i dropped the rear and tank today so i could remove the stock pump. It was very simple to do by myself. It took less than 2 hours from start to finish using no air. The car is still popping through the exhaust so i think its something to do with the distributor because i just rebuilt the carb and done a complete tuneup. The car will sit until i order the complete MSD setup. After pulling the tank today ill never cut another window in a f-body.

They should have come from gm with that window already cut. Lots of car companies have fuel pumps that are easy to access.
