Dammit man...

If it makes ya feel any better, I apparently have a wee bit of an issue myself... seeping outta the weep hole. Got a couple drops of coolant on the front sway bar every now and again...

Well sorry I didn't make it out guys. I'm having some problems and trying to figure themout. Everything was working fine. I decided to pull the radiator cause I was having some slight cooling issues. Wasn't overheating, but would if I was in stop and go traffic with the A/C on. After evaluating everything and talking with a guy I work with that's pretty knowledgeable about this stuff. I ran some things by him and he suggested it was the radiator. The pump was pumping and coolant was flowing so that pretty much eliminated the pump and thermostat, so I decided to replace the radiator. Well the replacement was the wrong one, so I stuck the old one back in, but before I did that I ran water through it forwards and reverse several times to just make sure it was flowing. That checked out good. Now, after everything was installed, no coolant is moving, the car almost overheated on me. Upper radiator hose was cold which suggests the pump isn't pumping. Bought a new water pump. Still the same thing. Stuck in a new thermostat. Still the same. I'm stumped now. It all worked before this and now nothing. I'm gonna go ahead and order the right radiator and go from there unless someone else has any suggestions. And yes all the hoses are in the right locations. Really don't think you can mess that up.

If the upper hose was cold that means that the thermostat is not opening, therefore no flow through the radiator. I know that you put a new one on it but it may be stuck. I just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago along with washing out the fins on the radiator. When I took it down the road for the first time, the temp shot up to about 230 (thermostat didn't want to open) and then immediately cooled off to 190 when it finally opened and stayed there. I have not had any more cooling issues. Good luck.

I got it goin. Forgot these need to be pressurized. The old school motors you can watch when the stat opens. Its flowing now and flowing good!! Staying real cool since I washed the fins on the condensor/radiator and pulled that FTRA out of the way. Think the water pump was goin bad, but didn't show any of the obvious signs. The stream is much stronger with the new one which is why I say that.
