Just a heads up, ive had a wrist pin walk out of a piston before and it got into the cylinder wall. It done the oil like your saying, large slivers, small slivers, and the fine stuff may be from bearings or the crank.

I would either look for a low mileage that hasn't set for too long or rebuild it. The cost of a used one now may cost as much as a rebuild down the road. I'm not one to trust a used engine that someone "says" is ok. I understand money can be tight, but a fresh engine is always worth it whether it be stock or something more. You might try calling a few places around town that rebuild them like Mills Motors, Hagedorn's, Ellis Piston's, etc, etc. I've used mills several times and have never had a problem out them rebuilding a stocker. For anything I've built, I just have them do the machining for me. I've heard good things about the other two I mentioned as well, but have never used them. I've used Kitler's once and my motor lasted 2 months and locked smooth up. Not saying theyre bad, but whichever employee put it together didn't do something right. This was in a 4WD truck so it wasnt abused. Just drove it back and forth to work. I had an S-10 that I abused instead lol.

Well i like the small, 1st because it looks custom, 2nd because its a bone stock cab. 67 was the only year truck in this body style with the small glass. I would not cut a cab to make the rear glass smaller. The 67 small window truck are getting very hard to find because they only made the small glass for half the year. Thats the only reason i really like it is because it looks custom but is stock, and they are getting to be pretty rare.

Well hey guys, I'm pretty excited about the get-together on Saturday. It's been a good while since any of us have met up, and the addition of new faces will be cool. Besides, I need to drive this damned car more. Furthermore, I think we should venture out of the parking garage and get some cold beers while we're there. Let's get a tally.
