Speaking of tires, if anyone is in the market for a brand new set at a clearance price, Tirerack.com has the Yokohama AVS100 on clearance sale. Five-star rating in all specs except snow/ice.

I just snatched up a pair of these Yokos in 245/45/17ZR for $69 a piece!
(Only bought 2 cuz I have the C5 setup, 17s in front, 18s in back)

Anyways, just thought I'd share.

Nope, building a carbed 383. Ive gone the 5.3 route and didnt like it. At that time i couldnt afford boost and i still cant afford all the dyno time it take to get one setup right. Im just building something i can work on/tune in my driveway.

when do you think you will be able to drive it? How much boost are you trying for?

Cody needs a cheap pickup for chores around the house. I found something suitable. Here it is being imported over to the states. Cody, it will be here in a few weeks:

And here is the video I found of Hilton making room for those big Mickey Thompson DRs that are going on the back of his car.

Its going on the truck with a 6-8lb pulley until i get everything tweeked and tune then im going to up it slowly and hope to stop around 12-14lbs. This is not a gear driven supercharger, its a direct drive (1:1) it spools as fast as the pulley so there is no boost lag. Im putting a mild 350 and th400 in the truck now to test out the supercharger and see how it does before i put it on a motor ive been building and something bad happens. IDK about you but i would rather blow up a free motor up rather than a brand new stroker. The motor going in it now should be close to 400+rwhp or at least i hope anyway. Its a 4 bolt 350 .030 over with double hump heads and ill be putting a blow through carb on it and blower cam in it. It should be fun while it last. When the stroker goes in im not shooting for dyno power, i just want to know what it will run at the track every pass. A quick bracket/street driven truck would be nice to have lol.

That's funny, never knew blowers have lag. Hmm, learn something new everyday.

What kind of blower is it? Looks pretty small. Do you have a coke can or something to reference it to?

Well, just depends on how fast you wanna go, as to how big the inlet needs to be.

From what I'm reading, it's pretty neat little charger.
