Anyone looking for a 9 inch? I bought a 3rd gen with one under it and was going to put it under my s10 but its 8 inches to wide. Im sure it isnt as wide as a 4th gen but it will hold 15 inch wheels and wont need so much back spacing in the wheels. It has moser axles and i think its a direct moser bolt in unit. Everywhere i look they are listed for 82-02 f bodies and run about $2500 with out disc brakes. This one is complete from disc to disc and i wont $1500 for it.
As far as the price it all depends on what the center section is and what spline axles. I paid $2000 shipped for top of the line parts. 35 spline CM spool, 4.30 gears, 35 spline moser axles, strange center with billet pinon support. If i would of got with stock center section it would of been $1600 shipped new! Post a pic of it

Only 80 psi in #7. 1,3&5 were 160+. Only checked the driver side before dark. It's amazing it still runs so well. Only a rough idle and small loss in power. I'm betting it's a ring. There is no vaccum at the oil cap. Any suggestions where I should go for a leakdown test?

Ordered most of my parts last night. The guy with the 243's i were trying to get backed out so now i have to find a set of heads for the lq4. Would like some 241's or 243's at the cheapest price possible.

Do u not have any stock 317s? I would just run those over 241s if u have them. Just mill the 317s down some. I fu wanna make some real power with stock heads i know where some new l92 heads are for $500.

Steve, Pm me your number. What do you think would need to be milled off of them? I ordered a MS3 and dont want any ptv issues what so ever.
My lq4 is a iron headed motor but I can get a set of 317's for $100. I want a little more compression and thats why im looking into a set of stock 241's or 243's.
BTW My intake, carb, and 6010 have already been ordered so im sticking with whats on its way. L92's would be nice but i dont think ill need them.

Being that they had a valve job means the valves are slightly recessed in the head giving more ptv clearance. They likely wont need to be milled at all. The deck surface is slick, and was only run for about 1500 miles after the mill before they got pulled. They had an acid bath at the same time.

If it's the latter, I'd send it to HKE or LME. I wouldn't let someone garage build a motor that was going to take some abuse.
