To add to the efficiency of Todds tune, I can already see a huge increase in mpg. With just over a quarter tank left, I've gone more miles than a full tank would get me before. That includes at least 15 wot runs.

Love the new signature Chris....you're a nut!
Matt, I'm glad you're happy with your tune. Now, maybe you can afford some beer with the gas money you will be saving. LOL!

You looking for a built car, or want something to build yourself? I'm pulling my 99 T/A out of storage tomorrow, and have been mulling over putting it all together, or selling as a roller so someone can tailor it to their needs.
My friend in Iraq bought a WS6 from a dealer in Killeen and I got back from trailering it here last night for him. I drove it today to his place till he gets back, and I can't believe it was my dream car for so long and I never drove one. I'm not sure I could live with it as a DD, I love my GTO even more now as far as comfort goes. My only dilema is I like toys to be paid for...T/A is paid for and I have the 6.0, t56 and all the goodies, or just assemble, sell, and use it to pay down the GTO then do H/C on it. Not complaining though. Five years ago I don't think I would've dreamed to have such a dilema.
On a side note, has anyone around here had a window shatter from the heat? Last week the GTO sat for 3 days, I went to drive it and the driver's window was spiderwebbed throughout. Neighbors lawns weren't freshly cut, no rocks in the street at all near the car either. Window isn't pushed in at all, just seems really wierd. By the way, it's really good to be back in the states, hopefully my new window from Cleveland Pick A Part will get here tomorrow and I can make one of these meets.

Never had a window shatter from heat. Dont think I've even heard of that. I have had a few windshield's crack from a previous rock peck due to excessive heat but never a side window. Bet a small rock got it just right from a weedeater/edger. Just a guess really.

Ive never had one shatter from heat but when i was younger my cousin blow on a frozen door glass and it shattered.
On the other hand the truck starts by the key now. Wiring up gauges and bleeding brakes should finish the truck. Still want to go over the whole truck to make sure everything is tight and make sure i didnt over look anything.

Was it tinted. Tinted Windows hold more heat instead of letting it pass through. I've seen tinted t tops that shattered. I also heard my mother n laws rear van window bust a couple summers ago. Sounded like a gun shot.

Soo... for some dumb reason I got to drive a new Cruze LTZ with the 1.4t. Gotta give it to em... it was a nice little turd. It wasnt terribly underpowered. Prolly ran as good as my 5.3 truck. The leather is some of the softest I have touched. The padding... not so much lol. Overall it was a nice car for a 23k sticker.
No... I had and still have no plans to get out of my fuel hogging, high horsepower vehicles.

My back glass shattered and fell, in pieces, into the inside. I'm still finding pieces.
Back in the day my dad's dodge dart had a window explode from heat buildup. It was also a convertible. He always parks with windows cracked when it's hot now.

Thanks, makes me worry less about neighbors walking by punching my windows or something. Yes it was a tinted window. It didn't shatter and fall in, it just spiderwebbed into a thousand pieces and is still in place by the laminate. I kindof thought it was from heat because I couldn't see a real point of origin as if there was a strike. I'm not from around here, and I've just never seen that before. I threw a bunch of tape all over it on both sides in hopes that I can get it out without getting all over my interior. FedEx says today, so we'll see.

Hey guys, this may be a long shot but I'll ask anyways.
I'm wondering if anyone has a dove tail car hauler that they would be willing to rent out for a small fee or possibly let me borrow it for the Saturday of august 6th?
